It will happen but its going to be a long time before it goes down tto that price, i think your going to have to wait until they release another playstaion. I have the PS3 and the 360 and id have to say that if the PS3 online was better id only have the PS3 the online is terrible but the blu ray player and the graphics are really good, plus it has a web browser, the 360 needs one of them. It will be a while before its under 200.

That will most likely Never happen. If the PS3 ever goes below $200 dollars, the PS4 will already be out.
The Playstation 3 will most likely always be higher in price to the Xbox 360, and everyone knows that it's higher for a good reason.
If the PS3 ever drops below $200 dollars it will be in year 2011 or 2012 at least.

It won't happen for another 2 or 3 years.
Consoles normally drop about $100/year until they get to about $199. Even then, since the PS3 started out so much more expensive, it's questionable it'll ever be able to drop that low - especially if blu-ray doesn't end up becoming the de-facto standard for HD movies.

I don't think so because they would have to take out even more than the 40GB PS3, which does not include memory slots, backwards compatability with PS2 games, HDMI outputs, etc.
I doubt we'll see anything below the $250-$300 price range for any console going forward. They will just add games and things to sweeten the deal.

I would say it should be $199 in two years. WOuld be a very good thing. PS2 didn't really fly of the shelf till it hit the $199 price point.

Probably not untill the new playstation is made........
then ull see prices like the ps2 is now.
