Use a spray bottle with water, and squirt (not soak!) kitty whenever it makes a leap for the table. This is how I trained my 9 cats.

Any time she gets on the table she must be corrected. Letting her sit there for any reason, at any time, is why she thinks it's ok to.
Yell at top of your lungs "NO!" It has to scare them off. Don't let her sit there anymore, no matter when, what, why.

Ours got set on the floor twice, then the third time they got put into the bathroom and the door shut--we let them out once the food was put away. They got the message fast.
