I fell asleep in a meeting at work. In the dream, I am running as fast as I can through a dark valley. I'm running towards a very bright light. I get closer and closer to the light and I am about to dive headlong into the source of the light. Just then, I hear somebody shouting, "No, come back, come back!" I wake up in my coworkers' arms. She said she had been shaking me for five minutes. There is drool on my notebook.

Interesting dream. It plays like a classic near death experience, except the voice screaming come back. My sister had a NDE & in her experience she was sent back. Maybe it significant of part of you wanting to "seek the Light" & another part not wanting you to go there. The classic battle within the human psyche.

The dark valley is where you are at the moment. The light is freedom - and you sensibly took the chance to follow the light. You were woken by your colleague, still in the dark valley, trying to stop you gaining your freedom. Leave your job for another where you will be free.
The valley is the region where you are happiest, surrounded by familiar hills, even in the darkness. The light is the light of change, making you see things differently for the first time. You were initially attracted to the light, but the closer you came to it, the further you went from the place where you belong. Your colleague rescued you in the nick of time. Stay where you are.
