I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Get started today!

You have to use an excess of 3500 calories to lose 1 pound. I don't know how many calories you will be burning by running, but I would say 15 pounds by Jan 1 is unlikely. You should lose 2-3 lbs per week by running so more like 8-12 lbs. Make sure you eat plenty of protein. You should eat carbs as well. Just have well balanced meals and start running. Good luck.

You can safely lose 2-3 pounds a week so you are not out of time. Running will work but it may be hard to go from no exercise to 5 times a week. Eat healthy, add in some strength training if you can (that really makes the difference for me personally) and good luck!

If you're really serious about losing that amount of weight that quickly you're going to have to change your entire diet in addition to some serious cardio. You already don't eat the aforementioned things, but they are not the only enemies when it comes to weight loss. If you are eating carbs, make sure they are of the whole wheat persuasion, and cut them out completely within six hours of bedtime. Running will help, yes. ANy additoional caloric expenditure will lose the weight. The formula is simple. Eat less calories then you burn in a given day and you will lose weight. Also, change the way you eat to fuel your metabolism. SMALL portions six times a day, about every three hours, of very healthy foods. Lean protiens, lots of veggies, drink tons of water. There are plenty of healthy diet websites online. I recommend bodyforlife.com. It is a kick-butt program, but you lose so much weight and feel so much better afterwards. 15 lbs in one month is a lofty goal, but not impossible.

Instead of running, try taking a brisk walk twice a day. Drive your car from your house and map out a mile. Walking that in 20 minutes, plus altering your diet should do the trick. I lost 17 pounds the first month doing that.

Add more vegetables and fruit to your diet and less carbs (rice, pasta, bread and potatoes). Drink green tea, it's good for weight loss.

Resitance training is the best way to lose weight. Try walking at an incline if you have a treadmill. and stick with it. Jogging will also work if you are doing it every day but believe it or not walking up hill burns more calories than jogging on a flat surface. What ever works for you though. Just keep up the good work and you will see results!

discussed this in nutrition today.
the ideal weight loss is 5-10% of your weight in a 6 mth time period.

Reduce your calorie intake by 500 a day. you can mix that up with reducing 200 a day and burning off 300. whichever way you want. running only burns off 12 more calories than walking. You have to decide if you want to run or walk because at somepoint you will have to increase your distance to keep burning the calories. walking farther to me is easier than running. i can walk 2 miles but running that is gonna really suck.

And remember whatever you do. do it in moderation. to deny yourself something is just saying that when its over your going to eat it then gain more weight than you originally had.

Something else to think about. your body can only handle so much protein, because protein is reused in your body. carbs are needed for your brain and red blood cells to function correctly.
Hope thats helpful

Running will definitely help, but no one can say for sure because that depends on your body and diet. There's a diet that I'm about to try called the RESET Kit. It's 5 days worth of nutritional food for $119.94, and it gives your body what it needs so it doesn't crave junk. Part of the instructions say walk everyday for 30 min too, so you might want to check it out.

On your won, you can loose about 1 pound per week without risking your health, so you are to late. All exercise will help, but 30' seems a bit short. See a specialist.
