I never spend too big on an early date, because once I had it backfire on me. I hadn't been out for a big expensive evening in a while, so I sprang for theater tickets and an expensive italian restaraunt--the whole date cost around $450. I knew it could be weird spending a lot of money on a third date, but I really wanted that kind of evening because I hadn't done that in a long time. Despite having a good time, she started shying away and things didn't work out. I don't know whether it was weird because I spent the money, or because I didn't make it clear I was doing it for me as much as for her, or what, but it didn't work out. So now I never spend more than $100 (and usually much less) unless I'm already calling her 'girlfriend'.

The bottom line is that if you even give the appearance of trying to buy her affection, she'll either run like hell, or she'll be totally into you--but the ones that are into you want to get paid one way or another. Don't do it, no matter how much you want to.

And, generally speaking, dates should be 50/50 or 'I got this check, you get the next one'. Only pay for everything when you are dating someone who can't afford your tastes and you would like her company while enjoying them.

The most expensive date I've been on totaled about $150 or so. We shot pool, had dinner and had loads of drinks. I was going to pay for it but she insisted. Of course I refused but she started getting a little upset about it so I gave in and she paid for it all. You could say that her plan of paying for the date to get me to sleep with her really worked that night.

I threw $500 on a dinner once after $200 at the symphony in London once. I'd spend more on a date with you though.

I shoulder it all. I don't want my date worrying about money issues. Girls spend 8 hours a day making themselves look dam good when they go out with me, so, why would I want them to pay on top of working a full day?

Ive spent about £150 on a single night before.

That was meal, drinks & the rest of the stuff during the night. club entry etc.

Didnt let her pay anything.

Normally dont let the girl pay, but that is the most i think ive spent.

i cant recall ever splitting 50/50... if a girl offered then hell yeah i would accept.

ive spent like 60 on food, 100 on baseball tickets, 80 on beers at the game (expensive!)... im sure ive spent more on a trip (hotel, multiple meals, drinks) but as for a single date... yeah about $250 or so

Women like to pay for the dates because I'm really good looking.

Depends on your fiancial status. If you can afford great things than i would say Taco Bell. If you are poor go to Mcdonalds... go for the kids menyu because then you can give a nice little gift afterwards along with some "bow chiqua waw waw"
