I am not debating abortion here...I am asking a question....I am also asking christians...because that is the defense I am looking for...So please respect my request on christians only thank you, unless you are some athiest with an extreem knowledge of what the bible actually says without twisting it somehow

not everything in heaven has a soul...angels?? I think just because animals are in heaven, doesn't mean they had a soul..I mean they didn't have to "make it" you know! And JW's bible is not a translation of the bible sorry....I said christians thanx

I don't think so because the soul is our emotions, feelings, and mind. Because of our soul we can reflect and be introspective. This soul is unique to human kind and was given to us because we are uniquely created in the image of God. Since the soul contains our mind and therefore our ability to reason I think that scripture supports that only humans have souls... ( but I could be wrong and would like to hear some intellectually sound and scriptural support for other views)

In addition:
I definitely believe that we will have animals in heaven but I just don't believe I will be reunited with my childhood irish setter "ginger". That would be cool though.....

I don't recall anything in the Bible that would determine if animals have souls. The only thing I can think of is that God told man (Adam) to rule over the beasts of the field.

In Revelation it says that there will be a new heaven and a new EARTH. Now it figures that unless God wants us to be stuck on a bloody great rock, there's gonna have to be plants and animals.
I have faith that a God who loves us so much that He gave His only begotten Son for our sakes is gonna let us have our precious babies.
So I sure hope that they have some kind of soul and will be with me forever. If not, I'm gonna complain loud and long to management, you can be certain!

I think somewhere in the Bible says that all things were firstly created spiritually then it is possible that animals have minor souls, inferior to human souls of course.

No, animals do not have souls.
Adam was given dominion over animals and told to kill and eat.
If animals had souls, there would be a plan of salvation for their souls, just as there is for ours.
