Which is more justifiable:

A) Slaying an entire city but keeping all the virgins for yourself.
B) Abducting somebody's wife for yourself, but harming nobody in the process.

Which do you think the Christian God would punish more harshly?

Both are equally sinful in God's eyes. It sounds like B) might be the story of David and Bathsheba, which was a sin that David committed against God and against Uriah. He actually sent Uriah to the front lines of battle to make sure that he would be killed so he could take his wife. God was so displeased with this, He allowed the illegitimate child that they conceived to die.
When God told the Israelites to wipe out a city, He told them not to spare anything for themselves, lest others would later say, "They did it just to take their stuff." God would be displeased if that leader then killed everyone except the "best stuff", and kept that.

But a Christian God would approve of these, as well as incest, pedophilia, and polygamy.
