No one ever told me. When I was a child I alway assume. I know the truth now, about how it coincides with a Roman pagan holiday. It really isn't Jesus' birthday. But when you're a kid. You usually only celebrate Christmas for the presents.

My mom was the one who told me that Dec 25th was Jesus' birthday, but I later heard at a Unity church that because of the climate "over there" there's no way for Jesus to be born in the winter, the shepherds were out in the fields and they only stay out during the spring time.

I was a big kid because I did not hear that at home. My parents were Christian and did not believe in worshiping on pagan holidays. I have never believed it was His birthday because it is the wrong time of year, I was always told.
As for me, I do not celebrate the birth of Jesus, but His death that gave all men the opportunity to become one in Him and ever to reside with Him.

It was in Bible School. Later, in Teen Christian Camp, we were told his birth was probably in the spring of the year. Biblical scholars determined this by mention of the alignment of stars and heavenly bodies, the tax season, temperatures... etc. I don't know of any adult Chistian who really believes Jesus was born Dec. 25.

My dear Mother was the first to tell me at 4-5 years.
I do not believe that is His Birthday, but it is when Christians celebrate His birth.
Why this bothers some groups of people I do not know. It is like who cares if church is held Saturday or Sunday.

I would love it if one person would say-IT REALLY DOES NOT MATTER WHAT DAY WE CELEBRATE JESUS' BIRTHDAY, BECAUSE IT IS NOT THE DAY THAT WE ARE CELEBRATING IT IS A PERSON- THE ONE AND ONLY JESUS CHRIST, WHO CAME TO EARTH TO DIE ON THE CROSS OF ALL OUR SINS. I still believe in Jesus, whether his true birthday was on dec 25th or not.

Nobody had ever told me so, my parents just told me when I was a kid that we celebrate Christmas in this date to join the joy of the whole Christian world together and that Jesus didn't actually born in that date, but in a date unknown..

The feast of Christmas is celebrated on the 25th of December, this doesn't necessarily mean Jesus was born on the 25th.

Never. We celebrate Yule that day. If you want to celebrate the birth of Mithras go right ahead.
But as for Jesus, he was born in the late summer or early fall. The sheep were in the FIELDS. No shepherd would put his sheep in the FIELDS at WINTER!!!!!
