They have turned light green...Most of the other littermats have all turned to the typical brown...Although I do rember the mom having greyish eyes..The parents were both PURE WHITE the mom was mixed with American Bulldog I suppose. Is this normal..Is he just gonna have light eyes or will they change. Is that a trait from a Blue Pitull??

All animals are born with blue eyes and at eight weeks they usually are not quite done but if they are green now i would expect them to just get a bit darker green.

Dogs have recessive genes like humans. A recessive trait came through er go the light colored eyes. This could be what color the puppy's eyes will be. By the way an American bulldog is a pitbull. English bulldogs are the ones that have excess skin around their jaw line.

Pitts eyes can be standard brown, hazel or even blue (usually if the coat is white).

So if it's a greyish, green color yes, it's totally normal.

Like many humans, eye color changes in dogs once they start to truly be able to see clearly. Many parents of blue-eyed children are actually surprised when the eye color DOESN'T change!

My friend has a pit bull puppy who's eyes were blue when he was born, and now they are a green color. He is 4 months old and they are still green, so your babies eyes will probably stay green as well! Your lucky, green eyes are beautiful on dogs!!

The light green certainly is an unusual color for any dog! He probably did get the eyes from his mother.

This eye color should be the one that stays if I remember from working at a vet otherwise there could be one more change. But I think this is the color that is staying and it is ok.

my puppy did the same thing, her eyes were grey when i got her and now they are brown. she is 9 weeks old and they just turned last week. don't know why, i guess it's just like babies, most are born w/blue eyes adn then they either turn or stay.
