I gave a gal the 1 and only thumbs up, and every single answer has a thumbs down. How childish is this behavior? Should people who behave this way actually be alowed to have control over another life, like a dogs? I say NO

I think there should be no thumbs down, it just spreads negativity.

Thumbs up should remain however, so people can recieve credit for good or relevant answers.

I have no idea. I got a thumbs down for telling a girl to keep her recently spayed puppy well-rested and with a nearby supply of fresh water.

I've come to the point where I no longer trust the rating system. I've seen too many correct answers that have more thumbs down than thumbs up. Instead, I trust the answerers who I've seen in my experience to give answers that are sensible and correct (to the questions that I know the answers to), and the people who I trust have experience with dogs.

Some answers usually do require and even earn a thumbs down have you really read the answers? I agree it is childish to give them thumbs downs just to be mean, but I think they should get the thumbs down if they are just being snotty or wrong

I think maybe it's because yahoo is going through today and deleting answers and stuff that shouldn't be deleted... and the people who's answers or questions are deleted are upset and aren't in the right frame of mind. They deleted one of my answers, and what should have been deleted wasn't my answer, but the stupid question the person had asked. I even had a ton of thumbs up on my answer.

I have no idea!

I thumbs downed the people who said it was okay to use regular shampoo, because it really is VERY bad for a dogs skin (pH levels are different) and thumbs uped the people who said that in a pinch you can use diluted shampoo or baby shampoo.

Instead of complaining,,,I say everyone else do their parts to offset the thumbs down people. I personally only thumbs down rude and insulting people. If we all took the time to thumbs up when we agree we could balance it out.

I don't have much faith in the Yahoo rating system, nor do I care much about it. I've gotten a lot of Best Answer ratings that I know I didn't deserve. And I've "lost" to many answers that were totally worthless. Not sure how Yahoo came up with their system. Must have been created after a wild night of sipping hard cider.

But I have to admit that I am just "thrilled" every time one of my answers is rated BEST. I award myself one beer for each Best Answer I receive. Sure hope you rate this one Best, cause I'm starting to get the shakes.

I have noticed about this problem. Almost every single question I answer recive several thumbs down. What's wrong that I express my own opinion about s/n and "designer dogs"? I bet those who give thumbs down are idiotic dog owners. Let's see how many I'm going to get for this one.

You know, I was going to ask that yesterday. A lot of my thumbs down have been for puppy names. How can you get a thumbs down for suggesting puppy names?

Sometimes I just quietly go thumbs up everyone who was wrongfully thumbs downed. Other times I will add to my post to the troll saying that I thumbs them up. 8:)
