I believe suicide is murder, it's the murder of oneself...
Do i believe if you commit suicide you automaticlly go to hell? I don't know, I'm not God.
Does my religion teach that suicide it a BIG no no? Yes, it does

Well I am sure you are looking for answers from Christians. But I will answer anyways. Personally I dont feel that commiting suicide is any kind of a "sin". I dont think that attempting to commit suicide necesarrily means you are damned for ever. Some people get emotionally confused and do stupid things. I personally feel that suicide is a stupid way to go. it obviously does not fix anything just makes it so you yourself do not have to worry about it. Problems can be solved and usually not too difficultly if you really put your mind to it. All you end up doing while commiting suicide is hurting those around you that care about you.
If God is love and forgiving than why would he not forgive for someone commiting suicide? also he would obviously have known that the person was going to do that so if he really did not want them to wouldnt he have stopped them?

Your friends seem to be Once saved always saved followers. which is against bible teaching. According to the bible your view is the correct view, however that does not take into consideration of the mental state of a person in which the bible offers no comment. Judas committed suicide after betraying Christ and that is all the bible says about it as far as I know and Judas sin was betraying Jesus which was what lead him to suicide.
Now as far as what I think, that's different. I am not Christian but pagan. Wicca is my religion and I believe in reincarnation and if we commit suicide then we will be reborn into the exact same circumstances that lead us to commit suicide until we learn the lessons we were meant to learn. Myself this life is hell enough without committing suicide over and over to live the same torment over and over, so suicide is out of the question as far as I am concerned.

I think that suicide, as an act of desparation, is probably the ultimate denial of faith. If you have faith (which is what makes you acceptable to God and therefore gives you entrance to heaven), there is always hope and a purpose to your life, no matter how bad things get. To end your life is to deny that God is at work in your situation; it is taking back your life after giving it to God and putting an end to any usefulness that He might find in it.

I have had two family members that committed suicide and I believe when someone is suffering to the point that they can no longer face life (or mentally ill) it would be unloving for God to turn away from them. Doesn't sound like something a loving God would do.

If I was going to commit suicide I'd have to do it in a spectacular way - before I always thought overdose was the best way to go, but nowadays I'm leaning more towards jumping infront of a train, throwing myself off a building in a busy town center, etcetc - oh ok as a religious thing - I have no idea dude, I'm not religious....

I think God is imaginary, so I don't care about his opinion any more than Garfield's.
The fact that conscious, feeling beings are subjected to the food chain and diseases on this planet is a tragedy. None of the animals have the choice of whether to show up here alive or not, they are just born. I don't think it's anyone's business if someone else wants to quit living; it is their life and they are just doing their parents a favor by staying.

Unless you have dependents that rely on you for their own survival, I don't think there's anything wrong with suicide. A stressed out single parent committing suicide wouldn't be fair to the kids. But if you're without dependents, I'd say your life belongs entirely to you, even if you wish to end it. Unless you are responsible for another life, why should you be forced to continue your own life if you don't want to?

Well, your relationship with Christ is what gets you in to Heaven. It's purely His decision to save, because salvation is not deserved. You are correct that a person who commits suicide has sinned and is undeserving of Heaven. God however operates on your faith, as opposed to works, be them good or bad.

I don't believe there should be any restrictions against suicide for those who are of sound mind, which would include assisted suicide.
We don't allow our pets to suffer needlessly when their time is up, but we force our own flesh and blood to die horrific deaths drowning in their own fluids in a unfamilar cold hospital.
There is no valid secular purpose to restricting suicide for competant adults.

Well I don't believe in your god, your concept of sin, or your heaven, so I really don't think that enters into it.
However, suicide is an awful thing. A person who takes their own life may think they're harming no one but themselves, but the pain it causes to the people who loved that person is horrible.
