"Evil does not exist, sir, or at least it does
not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes
when there is no heat, or the darkness that comes when there is no light."

Einstein, if he actually wrote this, echoes a very old stand of both Greek philosophy and theology of the middle ages: evil is the privation of the good, and, hence, has no positive existence. In a more modern parlance, evil is parasitic on the good.

"Pure" anything doesn't really exist except as an idea. Total darkness doesn't actually exist any more than total light does. In actuality, there is only functionally total darkness--where the eye become incapable of seeing anything--and functionally total light--in which the eye would also be rendered incapable of seeing anything.
No real thing actually exists in a state of total purity, only more or less functionally pure.
Pure good, pure evil, perfection of any kind and infinity exist ONLY as ideas: mental "objects".

Logically speaking, "pure evil" cannot exist, otherwise there would be nothing else at any other given moment, which is impossible, but then I also say that the concept of an omnipotent creator being is very illogical as well, upon close examination.

The case of two parties is like that of the blind and deaf, and the seeing and the hearing. Is the case of the two alike? Will you not then understand?

The blind and the seeing are not alike.

He it is Who sends down His blessing on you, and His angels pray for you, that He may bring you forth from all kinds of darkness into light. And He is Merciful to the believers.
