I love this film, despite the fact that it features one of my least-favorite actors: the evil Ben Affleck.

Are parts offensive to me? Yes. Does that stop me from watching it if I'm in the mood? No.

EDIT: Homer, Salma Hayek's character wasn't an angel -- she ("it," really) was a Muse.

I'm not Christian. I thought it was OK. The subject matter was not the interesting to me, but I can see where it would be to a Christian. I thought the special effects were cheap.
Still, I'll watch anything with Alan Rickman in it.

Danny K: Kevin Smith is a practicing Catholic.

I have seen the movie and as entertainment, it barely fit the bill. As a Christian I also found it blasphemous because it claims a bloodline from Jesus. Jesus produced no offspring and I believe it promotes a false belief.

Actually it was intended as a jab at Catholics and was mostly inaccurate in its interpretation of something Kevin Smith clearly did not understand and was desperately attempting to insult.

With that said, I didn't think it was all that bad.

And I currently know many practicing Catholics that don't understand the religion Glee.

I find it comical. It doesn't really try to be that offensive, and it's simply there to entertain.

I think everybody has a right to his / her opinion. But no, I don't find making fun of other people's beliefs funny. If they weren't making fun of Christians, it would fall under the category of a hate crime.

Sums up the Catholic faith quite nicely, in my opinion. Buddy Christ...definately comical.

I saw it when I was catholic and thought it was great. I did, however, have the uncanny ability to separate my beliefs at the time from a movie script.

I have heard that it is boring and pretty stupid. I believe it is about the war in Iraq so it is not comedy but possibly offensive.
Did you enjoy it?
