I thought they were just called allergist or allergy doctors, didn't know there is a special name for them.

Art: You can see either an allergist or an immunologist. The first link is for an immunologist, the second link is for an allergist. Both of these links are for doctors in the US. If you are outside of the US, your country will have similar associations for these professions. Because accurate testing is crucial to allergy management, have a specialist do the testing and not a D.O. or a chiropractor.

Your existing primary Care Dr. can order an ALLERGY Blood Test...and Treat your Allergies.

With a Single Blood Draw...... can Test You for the most common Seasonal and Year-round allergens specific to YOUR Geo-Region.

As WELL As Allergy to Immedciate and Delayed FOODs.

Then he/she can Prescribe Under-the Tongue ImmunoTherapy DROPs to Neutrlaize your environmental allergies ...
Lasting / If not lifetime Benifits.

and because FOOD Allergy is addressed via DIET.....
the LAB which does your FOOD allergy Test will generate a DIET Report specific to YOUR results ...telling you the FOODs to Eat, not Eat and Restrict.

No one knows your Physical and mental Health better than your Prime Dr.

My family doctor administered the food allergy test. You can also go to allergists. They do it by taking your blood and testing it. They no longer have to rely on the uncomfortable patch/scratch tests (thank goodness) It is rather expensive.

If you are concerned about food allergies, environmental allergies (hay fever), insect allergies, asthma...you need to see a board certified allergist (also called allergist/immunologist).

You can find one by going to www.aaaai.org -they have a link there you can use to search for an allergist near you.

Allergy doctors. There is one test for environmental (bugs, dander, pollen, tree, feathers etc) and another one for food. I've only had the one for environmental, but it's a good thing to know what you're allergic to so that you can avoid it when possible.

whole bunch of bad answers here---it is a DERMATOLOGIST. They put a patch of stuff on your back and check for irritations later.
