whcih is the best antivirus?

i use some sht from microsoft...windows live one care...but that thing is pretty lame..but at least..it keeps the spped of my computer...i tried ca ..but it dropped the speed of my laptop..so i switched back to live one care..howz live one care anyway..which is the best antivirus i can use....that is effective against virus and still doesnt make my PC slow

Have to tried either Avast or AVG. Both work very well and both are free for personal use.

To stop an anti virus program from slowing your system down, do not allow it to do background scans, or boot up scans. Just run it manually every week or so, or when and if you think you may have acquired something that you feel may be nasty.

Try Avast Home Edition, it's free. It works very well I have it. If people tell you AVG is good don't listen, it lags the system and is a nuisence.

i have one thats called SUPERAntispyware its the only one ive found that worked on mine..
