I'll tell you something, treadmills indoors are a bore and once you get one, you'll stop using it. Look for a rowing machine instead. It works all parts of your body and really tones it. Check out Mathew Pinsent.

Try area health clubs, especailly this time of the year. A club general manager may be willing to sell equipment relatively cheap as the new equipment arrives. My health club does sell the used treadmills, etc. - I am in the U.S. - and I am sure that isn't a unique policy.

Unfortunately the cheaper ones break down soon /often and in the end will cause you more trouble. It's always good to spend decent amount of money on these machines, unless you are getting it from some one you know for much less.
