I recently bought a 42" 1080p LCD TV to go with my PS3, and the blu-ray movies look amazing. I have heard that the PS3 can upscale regular DVDS, however, when I tried to watch the 300 on regular DVD (with an HDMI cable), it looked really grainy. Are there some settings I need to change on the PS3 to make it look sharper?

I think I know what you need to do for the DVD Upscaler. It could be becaue the DVD Upscaler isn't on yet.

On the PS3's main menu go to: Settings and go down all the way to BD/DVD Settings and click on it.

Then go to DVD Upscaler and make sure that it is activated. There is also a bunch of other options while you are in the BD/DVD Settings as well, so make sure that every thing is correct for your T.V. and connection.

We have many plans [for the PS3], but this 'Cell Storage' service is something that we definitely intend to launch. By using the Cell's security feature, users will be able to rip DVDs that include copyright protection...

purchase the $a hundred participant. a million. Blu-Ray media isn't notably being produced yet 2. Blu-Ray isn't low fee for many human beings yet 3. PS3 won't upconvert customary DVD's. supply Blu-Ray a 365 days or 2 max. this is going to capture on, and the fee will come down because of the fact the call for comes down. i'm a digital media freak myself, and that i'm waiting! P.S. some human beings's eyes heavily isn't waiting to inform the version between the two media. think of approximately that.
