divkagrr... WHY WOULD I WANT TO COME BACK? I have a list of about a million reasons why I want to LEAVE.
Btw, I understand what you mean by it takes practice - but let me just say this - last year I got Reiki tuned all the way to master - went to go meditate and - ooops almost slipped out - I got scared and it pulled me back in. I would like to actually do this but I have heard this is evil and you will go to hell and Christians say that you will become demon possessed - all kinds of scarey things. But I thought if I leave - why come back? Do I have to? What are the pros for staying. Also, I was working on a healing the planet with light and love energy and almost left then too. I wanted to hear from others who do this and what do they think about the whole Christian stance about going to hell - and demons will get you - etc., etc. Thanks.

Steph - yes, I will take you with me. Maybe we can create a peaceful, loving planet? ;-)

Look GWhiz....no disrespect meant. I don't claim to be the Creator. No way would I. I just sometimes feel discouraged and that is why I made the comment.

many steps before you get to that stage. i suggest reading some books on psychic development
Basic Psychic Development by John Friedlander and Gloria Hemsher is a great place to start.
eventually, when you enter your spirit body completely, you can leave and never come back if you so choose, but i would strongly predict that your motivations may have changed considerably by the point you come to that part of your spiritual evolution.
best of luck :) i know the feeling of wanting to escape this place.... all i can say is hang in there, youre not alone

Yes you always have to come back. What's the point of Astral projection if you don't learn from it and grow as a person as a result of your experience. Astral projection should never be used as an escape, rather a conscious decision to take a journey. And similar to a journey you would take in your physical body, you learn things along the road that you didn't realize previously.
Some people claim that they can leave the planet completely. I have never accomplished this personally. And to find out how to do astral projection just google it. There are websites all over the place that have good excersises for how to get started. It takes a lot of practice so don't be discouraged by how long it takes you to achieve the goal. Try your best, it is really worth it!

Some theorize that astral self is actually your double that you create with your mind or an entity that you have psychic connections with. If that theory is true, then why worry about the astral-body? Bottom line is you always come back.
How to do it? Try laying down or sitting in a comfty chair, relax and concentrate in your breathing and never get distracted. Try to visualize yourself climbing or on a rollercoaster. You will feel numb, vibraations, and you may hear a buzzing sound. Ignore this or you'll get distracted. Just concentrate in visualizations.
I have tried astral projection but so far i can only partially phase out from a sleep paralysis (my astral hands appear invisible). I've had lucid false awakenings before, but it wasn't astral projection because i don't think i saw my body.

There are lots of websites that you can visit that will explain the technique. There are a few links below. Once you master it (it takes a long time and a lot of practice) then yes you can leave the planet.
From what I know, you do have to come back, and there's nothing you can do to stop it. There's a theory that if you sever the silver cord that goes from your physical body to your etheral body, then your physical body dies. Of course, no one can proove this, because if anyone has actually done it, they'd be dead. I don't know what it would take to sever this cord.

the only way off this rock, short of a few billions pounds of rocket, is to die, sorry, but thats the bottom line, don't be in such a rush to go, it would be better to spend your time and effort looking for a corner that is more plesent to sit in, than wanting to leave the room completly.

Hi there..don't worry about the naysayers. Just because some don't have the experience themselves, that doesn't mean the reality isn't there. Here is a link with more info. Take Care.

Talk to a psychic teacher. They practice this stuff. It has to do with tying down your soul at certain points, sitting up straight, hands to sides and basically visualizing yourself moving distances. Ive heard that if done wrong you can get stuck but I dont know enough to tell you more. Good luck.

You plan to be a creator, wow that is a goal.If it were possible to leave your body, then why don't all the cancer patients do it.
This is absurd.
