I will be starting back to college in January for the 2008 Spring semester. I did not go this fall because of health problems. I was diagnosed with depression a long time ago and deal with it everyday. My question is how do you keep yourself motivated to make it through the classes and studying all that is required when you just do not feel like it. I have been in college for a long time because I am having trouble keeping up with all the work. I am not a lazy person. I have a full time job, working 7 days a week. When it comes to college though, it becomes so tough for me to keep up. I see everyone else getting good grades and what not and here is stumpy me. I want people who have depression and are going to college to tell me how in the world they are keeping motivated? Having no energy and taking classes just do not go together!

You may have too many things going on at once. Make sure you are taking your medication. Get adequate sleep, eat healthy, find people you can talk to about your feelings, see a therapist or go to a group and focus on the goal of graduating and what options it gives you. That is what I did.
