I was using open office to write a document and I put pics in the document. Everything worked fine. took a long time to save but it saved. now it won't open. does o.o. work with pics? if so which do I open the doc with? (it's asking me to select from a list.)

(I assume you used "insert image as file"...as opposed to, say, linking to an image elsewhere...)

At any rate, sounds like, you just don't have OOo set as the default for that file extension. Did you save the file as .odt? You may need to go into My Computers and diddle Folder options to set OOo as the default program to handle that file extension for ever and ever world-without-end.) If it's a .doc file, and if you want the option of handling it with Word, then you may have to right-click and open-with every danged time (and memorize where to find the opening program!) You should be able, always, to find the target (document) file in My Computer, and right-click it and Open With and see OOo in the list of available programs, que no?

I can assure you, OOo works with pics.

impressive click on the image, click save as, decide for my photos and then reproduction and paste from my photos. you're able to do the comparable on the textual content textile different than save to my information, or basically reproduction paste from the internet internet site. desire this enables.
