I want to hook up my LCD Tv to a PS3 and my cable box. My friend recommended I use HDMI. While looking online, I see cable labeled HDMI male to male, and then another cable labled PS3, for a more expensive price. Is there a difference? will the ps3 cable work better? It is a very short distance, so I would think what ever cable I buy would be fine, but I'm not an expert.

No difference. The PS3 cable will not work any better. I would just go with the cheaper one. HDMI is standard, and it is a digital signal. If the cable is no more than 15ft any one will do and work just as good as that over priced PS3 one.

male to male is the same thing same ending and in ps3 is the same stuff you will put it in
