It just depends on how much you are willing and able to set aside time to exercise and eat right. I have seen people in their 50's loose weight put on during pregnancy. Diet can only take you so far - you will fight with cravings because as you get older you absorb less and less nutrition from your food, but your body still craves the vitamins and therefore the food. To make the body work at it's best - start a program of "green drinks." I currently drink tea made using Frontier Herbs - alfalfa (extremely nutritious and will quell food cravings), red raspberry (which is really good for uterine healing) and also high in vitamins, and hibiscus (for flavor). Buy it in bulk - I spent $40 bucks and have been on the same bags for almost a year and a half. Eat leafy greens every day. Then try to walk/hike at least a few miles every day. Or go to the gym - whatever your favorite sport is. Good luck!

Losing weight after pregnancy usually takes 1-2 years, depending on your genetics and age.
The women who lose it more quickly have good genes.
Breastfeeding helps some, but doesn't if you have gained an enormous (50-100) lbs of weight during pregnancy.
The key is not to gain more than about 25-30 lbs.

That's not true. I had babies at 31 and 33 and again at 40 and lost weight easily each time, by breastfeeding. The weight just dropped off.
