The Protestant Reformation is usually dated as beginning around 1520.

When Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the door of his church on October 31, 1517, he wanted to discuss the state of the Church with the hope of reforming it, not splitting it apart. But by 1521, and Luther was ordered at the Diet of Worms to renounce his writings, he refused, and that is really the point at which the split begins and the Protestant Church is born.

Any time in history where the people (or a person) of God has PROTESTED against the church putting the traditions of man above the word of God, that is another beginning of Protestants.

The first recorded instance was when Noah stayed with God while the world did only what was right in their own eyes.

33 AD. And "protestant" really isn't the right word anyway. The first Christians all believed what would be called fundamentalist doctrine today.
