No I would love them unconditionally like Jesus does.
Parents who do those things are not Christians... more than likely just self righteous religious people who have taken God's name in vain (which just happens to be one of the do nots alongside the commiting of adultery in the ten commandments.)

To cast them out of your home would not be a christian thing to do. And the fact that many do that is a disgrace upon themselves as parents. You can love your child the same without condemning them. Showing love and praying for the child to learn from their mistakes is the best way to handle it. So many of you are asking questions based on old testament laws and practices. In the New testament it say Christ was the sacrificed lamb and therefore the old law and old prophecies had been fulfilled, meaning that the only thing we need to worry about now is growing our relationship with Jesus and serving God whole heartedly.

Let's get one thing straight: Homosexuality is NOT a sin. People have been mistranslating and misinterpreting these scriptures for far too long, and it has led to vast amounts of pain and suffering and, yes, death. The holiness code in Leviticus was a code of conduct for a certain group of people at a certain point in history -- people who knew nothing about the reproductive process. They thought a man's semen carried "life," and that to "pour out" semen anywhere other than inside a woman was a waste of life. Today we know better, or we should. The New Testament passages have to do with ritual prostitution, not homosexuality as we know it today. They also have to do with gender roles in society; 2,000 years ago society thought it was wrong for a man to act as a woman, or a woman as a man; therefore it was wrong for a man to be submissive in a relationship.

So, your question is based on a false assumption that both homosexuality and adultery are sins. Therefore, there is no real answer.

God calls both things sin, and so they are. I would never throw my child into the street. I wouldn't do that to anyone. I would pray for them, and I would talk to them, and I would try to convince them what they were doing was wrong, and children shouldn't be having sex in the first place, so I would deal with it the same way. However, I would NOT condone it. I would NOT accept it. I would tell them what the Bible says about it, and I wouldn't sugar coat it just for them. I don't sugar coat things I tell my kids now, and I certainly WON'T TOLERATE it in my home. When they turn 18, and if they want to live this sinful lifestyle, then they can be on their own. They will be adults then, and can choose to do what they want. But, I would continue to pray for them dilligently, and I would still love them, just as I love them now. And BECAUSE I love them, I would tell them the TRUTH about what happens to those who sin and don't repent, because I would love to see them in Heaven. God Bless
I would like to know where your information comes from that "Many Christian parents treat their homosexual children this way?"
I know of a pastor, who's daughter professes to be homosexual, and was making a public display of it AT SCHOOL(the girl is 15 years old, and was partnering with a senior girl) Her parents pulled her out of school, and decided to home school her instead, which, BTW, was their RIGHT to do as parents. Guess what happened next?? The girl she was partnering with and her mother, along with several others from the school, came to the pastor's church on Sunday, and began yelling and screaming during service, and causing a great disturbance in the neighborhood, and nothing happened to them. and if that had been the Pastor and his wife, coming to the school, and causing a great disturbance, what would have happened to them? I can only guess. But, the point is, the girl was still a child, and it was none of anyone else's business what the pastor and his wife decided to do about the situation. Should homosexuals get SPECIAL TREATMENT??? No! Certainly not, but they seem to think they should. So, in response to this question. I would say, that I would treat them the same as if they were committing any other sin. If the Pastor's daughter was having sexual relations with a boy, do you think he would have pulled her out of school? Definetely! He would have taken her out of the situation she was in no matter what, and so would I!!!

God created all physical things everywhere. Therefore God is the "boss" because everything is His to do with it as He wishes. It was His decision before anyone ever did any of these willful sins that they should not be done. People knew they were doing wrong and did them anyway. God gave them over to their reprobate lives and severed them from Him because He is pure and willful sins are an abomination to His pure mind.
These parents are so ashamed they failed before God with the child they had been given. Under the Old Law, the homosexual would have to be put to death for disobedience. God hates these deliberate sins that much.

When Leviticus was written they were dealing with a wandering desert tribe with taboos set to protect and insulate from contact with other dominant tribes. We are dealing with Bronze Age society here where it was imperative to maintain the blood line of the group. I think we have moved on a little now with the world as our village and a thousand more taboos to accomodate. The lesson is to find what is pertinent to your family today.

All sin is sick and depraving. But the problem with homosexuality is people christians or not cannot understand why a person would debase themselves to that level. It is not normal. I have never seen two (2) male animals or 2 female animals together. It is downright debasing. However we need to forgive and pray for all have sin and come short of the glory of God.

Love the sinner not the sin. Jesus embraced sinners (which is very reassuring because we all are sinful by nature) in order to bring them to God. You'd think a Christian would want to act like Christ, not the scornful God of the Old Testament..

Slipping up is one thing, but a lifestyle is another. Homosexuality is a chosen lifestyle and I would not accept it from my children. Would I love them less, cast them out, maybe not, but you can bet I would be a prayer warrior and light fire under their feet!
Oh, Atheists, that doesn't literally mean I will set them on fire. Just so you know.

That's horrible. Your kids are your kids and they have their own minds and their own feelings. People make mistakes and should not be thrown out like a piece of trash because you don't agree with THEIR decisions. If my kid was gay then so be it as long as he or she is happy and safe about what he or she does why would it matter. You bring your kids into this world because you want a little bundle of joy well treat them like that no matter what they do.
