Anyone who contradicts the Bible is a false teacher. The Bible is the final authority, and it does say that it is.

As mentioned in a previous answer. The Catholic church bases many of its traditions and customs on the writings found in the Apocrypha. These writings are not inspired teachings and not included in the Bible.

a very prejudice statement. catholics do not all act the same. some are running hard & fast towards GOD with the light that they have, but know no other light. If a christian is doing above & beyond his/her best with the gospel as it has been shown to them, they are doing very well and canditates for the Celestial kingdom. If you wanna stir up some contintion take it to a live westling match, I barely made it out with all my teeth.

While it is correct that the RCC permits tradition to supercede scripture, Protestants do the same (how many believe faith only despite what scripture says James 2:24? Or believe in Christmas as the birth of Christ, a Catholic tradition?)
You are correct if you are suggesting that Scripture is the basis of understanding.
God and Christ both condemned teaching that tradition is in any way equal (let alone superior) to the Word of God
Matthew 15:9 And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.'" (Isaiah 29:13)

Because we're all a bunch of steenking heathern idol-worshipping Catholics who put Mary above God, call our priests "Father," and think that the Pope's opinion is more important than the Bible.
There -- are you happy now?
(Note to the humorously-impaired: the above was pure sarcasm.)

Your question betrays you. Every time Protestants show up for church on Sunday, they are paying homage to the Catholic Church rather than the 4th commandment.
