If what prophets are told become scripture, where is it today? If nothing can be added to John, then all of the Apostle's writings are false except John, for all have been added. Has there has been a prophet since John? If so, where is his writings/scripture?

First off John was not written by john ( he would have had to be around a hundred years old) it was written by a storyteller who used that name to impress the readers. In fact most were illiterate so when told it was john they believed it.

You need to clarify, do you mean John the Baptist, or John the Apostle. I will assume the second and also make an assumption that you are stating all writings after the Revelation of John. All NT writings that are canonized were written before the Revelation. The canon is closed because there is no further need for divine revelation, since we have everything we need for faith and godliness in the pages of the 66 books. It is fanciful claims to extrabiblical or new/latter day rain type revelations that have given us the kingdom of the cults we deal with from gnosticism to Mormonism, etc,. et. al.

Now, as far as prophets, are concerned, John the Baptist was the final prophet. The need for prophets has passed, since those who believe are now indwelt by the Holy Spirit Himself, who leads us to all truth. Before the NT times, prophets were the only ones who were communicated to by God. Through His word and the leading of the Holy Spirit, we are all now a priesthood of believers.

I am not sure about your question. Are you asking about Revelation 22:18-19?
(For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book)

If so, then you ought to understand John is in fact restating a portion of the theory of Covenant Law, that once it has been created, it cannot be added to. Consider that this is a restatement of Deuteronomy 4:2 "You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you."

The importance to this is that John is revealing that there would be no further revelation of the covenant after him (the last living apostle). This is stated also in Jude 3 (".....the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints")

Perhaps you are stating that there are no other prophets to come after John (again, emphasizing He was the last apostle to die, consider John 21). This is true; as Paul told Timothy in II Timothy 3:16-17 the scripture present (which is today called the Bible) was all that the world needed.
