1.) You can crack fresh black pepper on top, then bake
2.) I love this. Coat bacon in sugar. Cook at 250' till crisp. Will take awhile. But the bacon is crispy yet sweet. Good for holiday parts.

My husband loves the peppercorn bacon and also maple flavored bacon and you have to soak it in olive oil and cracked pepper then bake or fry, or soak in honey & maple syryp and bake or fry. That is always an excellent choice!

if you get packaged bacon, it has probably been cured....but if you want to flavor it at home....when you bake it or fry it whichever way....just season each side once and the seasoning will cook right onto the bacon

I buy it and then rub coarse ground black pepper and garlic into it, repackage it, and freeze it. Great with eggs and grits!
