Stop worrying yourself over something that you dont know has happened. You need to take a urine pregnancy test or call your ob/gyn and have a blood test performed.

Your job is not on the line if you are pregnant. Generally most people do not say anything to their employers until the 12th to 18th week. You are not obligated to tell them or anyone right away.

In the beginning you will have monthly appointments and around the 8th month you will start to have weekly appointments. You will need to schedule these weekly appointments in advance to ask for the time off. Schedule late in the day so that time off is limited.

If you are needing bed rest or if there are complications you will file FMLA with your employer who will have to hold your position for you. Look up FMLA in your state to see how much 'allowed time off' there is. Generally this is extended with a Doctors written approval.

Again...this is all premature. You are unsure about the pregnancy. Tackle that first...the rest will fall in to place!

Wait until the second trimester (after 12 weeks). I had a miscarriage last year at 10 weeks and I had told my boss and everyone BEFORE that--it was around 7 weeks--and I wish I hadn't.

I am 35 weeks pregnant now, and I waited until my second trimester (about 15 weeks) to tell them since I was pretty much out of the danger zone. The major majority of miscarriages happen around or before 12 weeks of pregnancy.

Plus I was staring to show around that time--it's my second pregnancy (I have a 6 year old) and I started showing really early! Hard to hide it then!

I went thru the same thing! I use to live with my boss, so she saw me as a daughter. However, things didnt work out with my friendship with her step daughter so i moved out. I got hired full time in the begining of March of 06 and i found out i was pregnant by the end of that month!!!! I wanted to tell everyone because I was soooo excited, but I knew if i spilled the beans to the wrong person it would get back to her. I started getting mornin sick so i called in one day, her stepdaughter had told her that i was pregnant and my boss was PISSED! She blew up on me! I wanted to quit! But she had to step back and look at me as an employee rather than a daughter. I say tell your boss before the mornin sickness starts. And dont feel guilty, that was my mistake. Enjoy your pregnancy! And good luck with the little one!

Assuming that you are an adult, don't tell ANYONE other than your partner about your pregnancy until after the first trimester. Unfortunately, many pregnancies end in a miscarriage. So it's best to keep the good news to yourself for the first 3 months until you are past the primary "danger" zone.

Hi I started my new job on 1st November and I'll be 15weeks pregnant in two days. I still haven't told my new boss for much the same reasons as you!

I know this isn't much help but I know how you feel. legally I know I have to tell them by 15 weeks before the baby is due but by then i guess my bump will give me away!

Don't tell your boss until your symptoms start interfering with your job. For me, it was when I started needing to pee every 20 minutes. Also, until you hear (or see) the heartbeat your chance of miscarriage are 1 in 4. So, it is best to just wait until then.

#1. Dont say anything until a DOCTOR says that you are 100% preggo.

#2 Don't worry about your job, know one can descriminate against a preg woman. If they do, you will have a good legal case. But you may have to work right up to the 7th or 8th month.

I didn't tell my boss about either of my pregnancies untiil I was twelve weeks. There are laws that protect a pregnant woman from being fired/mistreated because she is pregnant. Contact human resources at your job and make sure what your rights are if you are worried.

take a test first before deciding anything!! if you are tell your boss, they should be sympathetic. your job wont be on the line as they cannot sack you if you are pregnant and they are obliged to let you come back to work after maternity leave
