The people of the Pacific island of Tanna believe that the Duke of Edinburgh is a god. Do you agree with them and if not is your religion (if any) any more rational?

Tanna people consider him one, so he is in their eyes. Religions come in all sorts of flavours, they've just happened to base theirs on worshipping a globe-trotting Greek racist married to a foreign queen.

Despite this, it is far more rational than something like Scientology.

The people of Yaohnanen and surrounding villages believe the prince to be the son of an ancient spirit who inhabits a nearby mountain on the island of Tanna and have worshipped the royal for the past 50 years. On the Island he is treated with respect and they are very reverential towards him and have been so for 50 years. He is not a God except to this tribe who I like him,he served in the war and stood by the Queen who I am hopeful you will agree is and has been a wonderful Monarch.
It is good to see such friendship and a communication between our Islands andI can only see this as a good thing.
The people on this Island/s have been treated very badly by the Americans over the years because of this base that is used by the Yanks...sorry...North Americans

To bad they did not choose the Duke of Earl, at least they could have had a nice sock hop!

Insha'Allah, yes, Islam is much more rational realizing and teaching that there is only One True God and that He has no associates, partners, equals or children, that He does not take human form and that no man is god.

Ma'a salaam.

I don't know, but if I were him, I'd be in Tanna on the mission of creating as many demi-gods as possible.

By some definitions he is - along with Google and the FSM!
And at least the Tannans can visit their god, see and hear him - how many can say that?

Except the Holy living, eternal living God there is none else.
Duke of Edinburg is not a god.

Jesus Christ is the God.
In Him there is no sin at all.
He was crucified, risen from the death and He is coming soon.
The Lord is Near. Believe in HIM only.
