Chuck Colson, of Prison Fellowship, started the Angel Tree several years ago. I don't know exactly when. This program was and is designed to provide gifts for children of prisoners. Both Prison Fellowship and Angel Tree are worthy charities.

It was started in 1982 by Mary Kay Beard.

awhile ago...it helps prisoners kids have gifts at Christmas..
