I'm not really sure what you're asking here. The Douay-Rheims Bible translated the Latin Vulgate into English. The New Testament was published in 1582, the OT in 1609, making the Douay-Rheims slightly older than the King James Version. The D-R Bible was produced in order to preserve Catholic tradition in the face of the growing Protestant Reformation. The D-R is still used by some traditional Catholics, much as the KJV is used by some Protestants.

I don't have access to a D-R Bible myself, so if you're asking my thoughts on how 1st Corinthians 13 is translated in the D-R, then I am unable to help. In general, this chapter is called the "love" chapter, as Paul speaks of love in its many forms. in the KJV the word used is "charity," rather than love; since the D-R is pretty much contemporary with the KJV, it may be the same.

Like one of the other responders, I don't quite understand what you're asking either. Let me take a guess:

If you're asking how the passage reads in the D-R translation, I don't have that version either. But there is a website,

www.ccel.org

that may have it. When you get there, look up the Scripture reference and check for versions. The D-R may or may not be there, as I haven't checked for that version in a while, and they have been doing some "tinkering" with the website. But at any rate, you'll find some very good stuff there!

Another option, just google for "Douay Rheims version" and you may get some other hits.

Finally, local Christian bookstores may have that version too. If not, Lemstone or Christian Book distributors might have a copy. Good luck on your search and I do hope you find what you're looking for. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
