I think it would be VERY good and healthy for YOUR diet babe! Especially the first breakfast! It IS the most important meal of the day!!! Right??? hehe I say go for it...and make it something really yummy!!! Those calories will be the easiest to burn with a good workout!!! *wink* =D

First off change your diet. A diet that has you going for something like 12 hours without eating is a horrible idea and that's exactly why diets don't work. Your metabolism has slowed down as you aged. Doing something like that will cause it to slow down further. What you need is to eat smaller items more frequently. A yogurt and then 2 hours later a banana. Two hours later, a 100 calorie snack pack.

Basically your body works on expectations. If your body knows it will get food in just a couple hours, it has to burn that food quickly to be ready for more food. If your body thinks every meal is it's last meal, it turns it into fat and saves the food. The goal is to BURN calories so clearly eating every couple hours is the way to go.

And blowing the diet out of the water is more about what you consider "breakfast". After all, if breakfast is a sausage egg and cheese biscuit--you have already blown it by having one of those at breakfast. What you are eating matters more than when you eat.

The reason people gain weight is they are eating more calories than they use. People can lose weight, then, by only two methods: (1) eating fewer calories, or (2) using more calories. It appears that your diet is encouraging you to get fewer calories by skipping lunch. Eating another breakfast would add additional calories then, and would likely make this diet ineffective. But this lunch-skipping diet actually seems like a bad idea, because I have heard that eating several small meals a day will boost your metabolism and help you to use more calories. If you are not exercising regularly that would be a good idea too.

The best way to lose weight is by eating a healthy sensible diet and by exercising appropriately. I recommend that you get advice by a doctor and/or a nutritionist to help you do this safely.

I suppose you might consider dividing your breakfast into two portions, eat one half early in the day and eat the other half at mid morning. But if you are reducing your calorie intake so severely that you are actually skipping meals, you will end up slowing your metabolism to the point that you stop losing weight. Your body will be tricked into starvation mode so that it conserves energy rather than burn energy. You don't want that to happen, so eat balanced meals and snacks and get active with some form of exercise every day. Just taking a 30 minute walk will do wonders toward starting real weight loss.

Good luck to you, and try to have realistic weight loss goals - especially at this time of year.

I'm suspect of any diet that makes you skip a meal. But, if that is the intent, then eating 2 breakfasts will defeat the purpose. You'll probably be so starved at dinner that you'll eat twice as much.
My advice is to try a more sensible diet like Weight Watchers. I've tried many diets and this one is the easiest to follow.
I hope this helps.

Since you are eating super early in the am, then that is breakfast. Eating some hours after that would be like your "lunch" then, or snack.

there are no set times that you have to eat. But it is recommended to eat every 4 hours. Listen to your body!

after your mid morning brunch, dont wait until dinner to eat. that is too much time between meals and will most likely leed to overeating at dinner.

good luck

You should eat at least 6 times a day...that is the best diet. I was diabetic with my last 2 kids and the best is to have breakfast, 2 hours later have a light snack, then lunch, then 2 hours later have another snack, then dinner and then light snack before bed. It keeps your blood sugars more regulated which also aids in burning fat and calories. good luck!

I found the best way for me to maintain my weight is to graze. A few small meals of really good, healthy stuff. I always start with high protien in the morning and have fruit and cheese mid morning, a small salad with whole grain crackers for lunch, raw veges in the afternoon and a light dinner before 7:00 pm. It worked for me.

Actually eating two times or five times does not mean anything. I would offer you to visit a dietetitian.
In general eating 5 times a day is offered. 3 main meals and 2 fruits. Do not eat after 19:00 because you will be resting after that time so you will not be able to burn the calories you take...
