An Australian business purchase a product from a US business. Does the Australian business pay any US tax? What services delivered electronically?

I am assuming that you are asking that if you are subject to 'sales tax' upon your purchase of a US product. In general, if the product is delivered out of the country, such as Australia, then there are no sales tax. In addition, if the product is delivered to a state in the US which the seller has no 'nexus', then they don't charge you sales tax.

If the product is delivered via internet (i.e. electronically), then it depends on the state. CA does not have sales tax since the product is not treated as ' tangible personal property', but each state varies. Of course, if it is delivered in Australia, there won't be sales tax.

in general, foreigners may buy from US firms without US taxes. Various foreign taxes may apply on the import.
