After 2 years of dealing with pain in the tailbone/right sacral region my third MRI finally gave me some answers. I have a soft tissue, muscular and bony contusion, now they have to find out why it hasnt healed. What kind of doctor specializes in muscles?

An Orthopedic Surgeon is a specialist in the musculoskeletal system. Although they are surgeons, they also medically manage patients with a variety of musculoskeletal pain syndromes and conditions. They would be the most knowledgeable specialists about your contusion and the treatment options for it.

I also think you should be looking for an orthopedic surgeon - it seems like you would want someone who specializes in spinal problems. What you are describing sounds like coccygodynia, which often doesn't have a known cause.
