I was playing basketball about 3 or 4 years ago and I fell on my knee. I paused on the floor but I didn't want to come out of the game so I just got up and ran it off. I didn't ice it and the next morning when I woke up it was stiff and hurt alot. I walked that off too but now every now and then, it will hurt all day, sometimes to where I have to sit down and rest for a little while. It also pops from time to time but both of my knees do that and ave been doing it for a while. I'm a heavy set girl so I doin't know if that has anything to do with it...any suggestions on treatment or what it could be?

You may have slightly torn one of your ligaments and it did not heal correctly due to the fact that you did not seek proper medical care right after the injury. You may want to go see your doc and get some xrays to make sure.

This sounds familiar. About 35 years ago I fell down a flight of concrete stairs, first day of vacation, don't you know.

Now I have arthritis in every damaged joint. You have probably torn something and it has not healed well.

Try to stay off them, ice them and take IBUPROFEN for Inflammation and swelling.

I am certain you know that every pound you lose will improve your knee pain. Our joints were not made to carry excessive weight.

Good Luck.
