If you're having low back pain, and you sleep on your back, try putting a wedge or pillows under your knees, if possible have your thighs at approx 45 degree angle, but any angle upward is better than none. It may feel a little uncomfortable at first, but give it a few minutes. Or, try sleeping on your side, knees bent, with a pillow between your knees. Both positions relieve pressure on the discs in the low back. Of course, if you continue to experience back pain see a doctor.

buy a better mattress make sure you have the proper support under the box spring....and that you have a good box spring.
It could be the way you sleep as well. A lot of people sleep and if you notice how they have there bodies it looks like they just fell from a 2 story building. Lay comfortable but don't mangle your body into awkward positions.

Sleep with a pillow under you knees if you sleep on your back, or if you sleep on your side, place a pillow between your knees. This helps take pressure off the spine and back. A good mattress is very important, as well as a good supportive pillow.
