Our heart beats perfectly whether we ask for it or not. Like that lord answers all our questions whether you ask it in the prayer or not. He even help with answers which you may not be interested in listening to but might be really required to solve your problems.
This is so because GOD is there deep inside you, watching every thing. The only problem is we are not aware of this fact. Just like heart beats perfectly whether we are aware of it or not. GOD is contiuously present with us and helping us wheather we are aware of it.
It is only our confidance on the our mind, that has completely blocked us to listen to GOD. Still he is always there providing his unconditional support to us all the time.
I think right way to ask this question is, when we will be able to listen to GOD. It is not GOD does not want to help, is an issue. The real issue is we are not looking for his help, we are not listening him.
In practicaly life, we don't trust ourself. The last person whom we trust in this world is ourself. We trust every one else, we trust our logical mind in their ability solve the problem but not ourself.
if you closely observe yourself in this perspective, you will know that we have actually kept GOD (which our inner self), as last person to trust, after we hit everthing else, including our mind, if we could not resolve it, then only we go and make sincere attempt in our prayer, it is only at that time, we are listening to him or listening to our true self, there answer comes.
To end this discussion, GOD is always there deep in us to answer, Are we ready all the time for it, or only as last resort?. This decides wheather Lord answers our prayer or not.

God does exist; and He did answer your prayers but He doesn't always do the big bang that some people expect. When you ask for God to show you He exists, perhaps He did in ways you did not expect; maybe the flowers were prettier, or the grass was greener; perhaps people were nicer to you; perhaps you were protected from harm or whatever you attempted to do, worked smoothly, perhaps you became more financially secure. One thing that strikes me - you say you prayed for a whole year & God didn't ans; but you don't mention any truely bad thing that happened that year - perhaps that was your ans. Mark 9:24 Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!" I prayed this prayer, like for a long time and now I believe fully. Don't let the evil one full you. God is always there, and He answers prayers He answers my prayers all the time. Do you have a little quiet inner voice? Its the Holy Spirit speaking. I thank God everyday that my family is healthy, happy, safe, and provided for. He has answered my prayers and I RECEIVE the answers to my prayers. No matter God is exactly where you left Him and He'll be waiting to receive you when you turn back to Him because He's always right next to you waiting for you to call to him. He's answering your prayers and loving you as He loves all His children. Matthew 11: 28"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Both the soul and the Supreme soul are so powerful. Together they are the highest authority in the universe. If not them then who would make our prayers come true? Just that you know - we need to understand in which form the blessing comes at us. It depends very much on our heart to understand when a blessing is there because only if the heart is conforted it will keep the way clear for the intellect to understand it. Intellect has to be peaceful and assured. If the heart is dirtied with the mud of ill feelings .... the intellect cannot see anything through that. Humility also is needed and courage to say ''Be Thy Will'' from the heart. Then you will see that His wish is same as yours .... and yes, your prayers are being answered at every second in the most wonderful and accurate way..... a way that you yourself could not have thought of.....
There, however, is one key ingredient in that - accurate knowledge is needed. Verry necessary.

Yes he does he answers every ones prayers
but some of us are to caught up in the problem
to realize when the Lord Helps, I like to
remember a verse Footprints which they've
made so much money on (key chains, posters
etc,...) when you think you are doing anything
by yourself & God has let you go he hasn't he's
been carrying you all along.
So never give up on the Lord because even tho
you might have felt alone at times you were
never alone he was 'carying you through the
problems' until you eventually accomplished
your goal or what ever it was you were doing.

ALLAH loves us 17000 times more than our mothers do. HE always does what is in our best interest. As far as answering prayers is concerned, it depends on what one has been asking for. What happens is that when what he gives us coincides with what we had asked for, we feel our prayers have been answered but when what HE has given us or decided for us does not match what we wanted, we feel low and disillusioned and we say that our prayers have not been answered. If we show firm trust in ALLAH and always say this prayer that:
" O lord!, you are my creator and you know me the best, so do what you think is best for me and give me the strength, understanding and will to be happy and content in whatever you decide for me".
INSHALLAH! there is no reason we will feel dejected that our prayers were not answered or we did not get what we wanted.

Yes, He is. He is like a Father, If your own child pray for u, what will be your feelings, u will give lots of blessing to ur child and always wish the best for him, so have u any doubt that Lord will not answer ur prayers? after all He is also Father of all of us.

Lord is no answering machine. He answers to no prayers. He is nothing but love. All he know is to love, all he can give is love. There are no answers, request, sacrifices so on and so forth in his land.
Prayer is form of channelizing, fixing our wants, needs, desire. May that be materialisitc, health-related or even spiritual. When we say repeatedly, we start to focus on that, resulting in the fulfiling of the prayers. Well some people do pray but they dont work on what they pray for, resulting the answer from the god is no.
Dont see God as person who cater to all your needs, who answers to all your calls, fulfils all ur desires. Just see him the way he is.. love. You will find that it is you who is answering to your prayers..

He will always answer our prayers. The important thing to remember is the condition of our heart when we pray. Are the reasons we pray and ask selfish or selfless. We need to be mindful of our motives and be careful what we pray for. God has a way of not only answering our requests and petitions but bringing an overflow that we can not handle or contain.

I believe the Lord answers our prayers if the situation is right. Now, if you say; I pray for a million dollars, that's not neccessarily going to be answered. But, if you wish for like a special person in your life, or something like that, I believe it will be answered.

Try praying to become King of Sweden or for World Peace and you will see that it doesn't work out.
As someone once told me, prayers have a confirmed 50% accuracy, proven because before every sports game in Texas, each team prays to win and sure enough.....it works half the time!
