Don't crash diet. The faster you lose the weight the faster you'll put it back on. Don't snack at your desk in work and cut all your portions in half. Eat healthy foods. When you're hungry drink a glass of water first because sometimes when you feel hungry you're actually thirsty. Make time for excercise, it's the most important thing. Go for a walk on your lunch break or walk some of the way home.

Keep a food journal. There's a good free online program at http://www.fitday.com/

Eliminate fast food and carbonated drinks entirely (you can ween of the sodas, but no more fast food). Eat healthy foods like fruits, vegetables and lean meat in small portions (make a fist..that's the biggest piece of meat you should eat at a meal, and only eat one). You should eat 4-6 very small meals a day of all healthy food. If you get hungry, snack on cellery sticks (no peanut butter! cellery actually helps you lose weight when you snack on it).

Start exercising everyday. Begin by walking a mile EVERYDAY. Once that becomes routine, add a half-mile and change your route. Once that becomes routine, add another half-mile and change your route (keep up the pattern ..). When you feel like it, start jogging. Go a 100 yards at frst, then walk, then another 100 yards, etc.. do this every day until you feel like going further, then go a little further...maybe a 1/4 mile. Keep doing this and add a little distance each time. Jog from one light pole to the next at first....you'll be jogging to the tenth light pole in no time! Buy some lightwieght dumbbells (like 2 pounds) and carry them while you walk and run to build arm strength.

When you fell you're ready join a gym and ask for a trainer to help you make a resistance training plan (weights...3 times a week). This is critical because you need to build muscle mass to burn more calories (muscle uses more calories every second of every day then fat, so the more muscle to more you burn fat!) You also want to tone up as you loose weight or you'll get all flabby...

Tell people you want to lose weight and tell them what you're doing. Tell everyone! people at work, family, strangers in the suprmarket....people want ot see you succed, let them know you're in the fight! just don't overwhelm them ;-) They will help you stay on course!

Aim to loose no more than 3-5 pounds per month. Anymore and you'll just yo-yo back up. You didn't become overweight overnight, and you won' tlose it overnight either!

Talk with your doctor about your weight and what your plan is before you get started (make an appoinment today, not tomorrow).

make realistic goals (baby steps) and achieve them. You have to be determined!

I observed the e-book to be very informative and convenient to learn. I've misplaced 17 kilos in 12 days, I'm simply involved that I'm wasting an excessive amount of weight, too speedily. I will admit I have not adopted the advisor precisely. I'm no longer sticking flawlessly to the indexed meals and meal plans (however frequently) and doing little or no activity, however the weight maintains flying off. It evidently works and if I'd adopted it precisely I feel it might scare the residing daylights out of me due to the fact of the quantity that I'd lose. So thank you once more for the understanding. I've under no circumstances bought some thing like this earlier than due to the fact they're frequently filled with trash, however 3WD has been a great shock. Get began in these days!

I'm in the same boat as you are. Stuck at a desk job and so tired when I get home that I don't feel like exercising. A few things that I have noticed have started to work for me are not just eating healthy but eating HEALTHY. What I mean by this that there are multiple shades of healthy eating. Try to buy locally grown food and/or organic. In other words try to find eggs, meat, & dairy products that are hormone free and vegetarian/grain fed. Try to steer away from things that have high fructose corn syrup ( this is a chemical that your body doesn't digest, 90% of the time it converts straight to fat).

Also, don't stop eating. Its not how much you're eating as much as the calorie intake and type of food. Try to make your largest meal breakfast (as far as calories) this gives you all day to burn them. Find what your calorie needs are to maintain your current weight and then reduce your calorie intake by some degree (this will also depend on how many calories you burn in a day). Also, eating several smaller meals through out the day in 3-4 hr increments helps better than 3 big meals.

Keep a food journal. It's amazing how much more aware you become of your food intake and portion sizes when you have to account for it somewhere. Self.com has a great log for meals and exercise. Don't forget drink lots of water!!

Find a buddy to help keep you motivated. I find that that is the hardest thing for me, staying motivated when it takes a while to see results. Feel free to email me if you want to have an online buddy, grk_tigris@yahoo.com

Good Luck!

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Get started today!

I would suggest a cleansing diet. I lost 12 pounds in 9 days and then 28 pounds in less than a month. I also lost a lot of inches too! I learned that cleansing will help the body get rid of impurities. Impurities come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives and lots of other things. The impurities get stored in the fat in our body. To get rid of the fat, we have to get rid of the impurities by cleansing the body. This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked. The weight came off fast and this kept me motivated to keep going, not like other diets where the weight loss it too slow. I did Jenny Craig, Weight Watcher and Medifast. If you want to learn more call the toll free number 1-877-587-4647 or check out the website. This was the first time I ever did a cleanse, it was easy and I feel better. Good luck whatever you decide to do! http://thebestcleansingdiet.com

Eat healthier, cut out fattening snacks and do some regular exercise every day. You dont have to go to the gym. You can park further from the building and walk, you can take a walk on your lunch hour, you can take the stairs rather than the elevator. If you keep healthy snacks at work it will keep you from junk food in the machines. If you have some good diet meals prepared and frozen or low fat soups or salad fixings ready at home you will be able to avoid fast food and still not spend a lot of energy on cooking when you get home.

I also work in an office, and i have recently started making time at work to do some squats and various other low impact excersizes. Even if you drink water all day, and everytime you go to the washroom do some sort of excirsize, it will help. remember, you didnt get that way overnight, even if it may feel like it, and you certianly cant healthily lose it all overnight either. Good luck

Plenty of fruit and veg of course but the trick is eat the same stuff (avoiding burgers usually) but about 25 - 30% less of it. You need to stay with this for good. All diets work but when you go back to normal eating you put it all back on and some. Do as much excersize as you reasonably can - can you walk to work? But it is no use having unrealistic goals so just see what you can mange. Good Luck.

pick up a 5 or 10 pound weight at the gym and visualize that weight coming off holding the weight in your hands helps bring home just how heavy even 5 pounds of extra fat can be
