Sometimes we just make mistakes.

No, not really. I had to check my own spelling once when I realized i did the same. I think there are just a lot of bad spellers out there.

edit: I love the way the atheist below me wrote ''we atheist'' without putting the letter ''s'' at the end to show plurality. That's classic. You get a thumbs up from me, jenkins. Have a good day.

The spelling problem appears to be unbounded by any religious affiliation, or any other identity, for that matter. Spelling, grammar, syntax, logic, sentence structure, punctuation -all, are tortured, mangled, murdered or simply absent from most of the writing appearing here on Answers.

Perhaps THAT'S the connection! Yahoo Answers -a wonderful form for public expression- seems to attract those who are least able to actually express themselves in writing.

Go figure.

I rarely misspell atheist, but I often fail to add the S to the plural Atheists.. I don't know why. I find I do it all the time. It must be Freudian. I am sorry I mean NO offence. The most common typo is reversing I's and E's ..once again I am sorry.

How many non-Christians have never made a typo? Sure, there may be some who don't know how to spell it, do it purposely, or whatever, but others could misspell it as well. I don't always catch my mistakes, and sometimes it doesn't really matter as long as others know what I mean. I think. Maybe. Whatever.

I think most of the time it's just a typo. If someone does it to annoy us, it's probably no different than the atheists who use "Xian" and variations thereof, since that seems to annoy some Christians.

It is a very common spelling mistake the i before e thing. I don't spell Atheist that way! Don't worry so much about spelling mistakes, it takes your mind off of the question.

Some of them do, but many really are that stupid that they can't spell it. If you notice, the epidemic of misspelling words usually comes from Christians. Says alot about their education level doesn't it? It must be evil to take english classes in junior high or use a dictionary.
