Do both. Get a really good humidifier if you can afford one, if not, place a big pot of water on low on your stove and it'll boil off into the air around you. That's not going to help you when you sleep as it's usually not in the kitchen. Having one by your bedside is really good as it keeps your nose from drying out (leaving you open for viruses etc) and you can blow out any mucous in the nose.

A good nasal spray that has worked for me is Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE) which is a natural bacteria killer as you do want to keep your nose/nasal passages clean. Another recommendation is to rinse your nasal passages whenever you feel it drying out or have a cold or sinus infection. Here are the websites for the GSE and nasal rinse.

It should help tremendously.

Humidifier in your house helps. There are nasal sprays both prescription and over the counter that can help also.
