They all worship the same God but through different ways. Hence, they can celebrate all their religious festivals together.

Uhhh. Christians view Jesus as God, while Muslims view him as a Prophet only. Muslims consider it a blasphemy.

Man-
Muslims don't believe in Jesus as the Christ, thus Christmas, and they really don't believe the same stuff, but the religion of Islam, if you read the Koran, is in opposition to Jews and christians, and is a direct affront to them. In fact, this is what this religion was created for to begin with. You have to study it. And Christianity believes everything the Jews believe, but Jesus is the Messiah that the Law of Moses promised, "A prophet who will be like me..." Not all Jews believe in Jesus as the Messiah, which would make them not Christian. So why would anyone who doesn't believe in Christ, celebrate Christ-mas, which is supposedly about Christ; however, I would beg to differ, being that I know the true history of Christmas-Yule-, and it had nothing to do with Christ or Christians originally, but was a drunken orgy rather, much like a halloween celebration, with costumes, which started in early Babylonian roots. There is no relation. This is why.

It is impossible for Muslims and Christians to celebrate christmas together because they have different beliefs and ways on how to worship God. However, there is such thing as ecumenical service. In this kind of service, you can see all people of different religions worshiping God as a bigger community. In this sense, religion doesn't matter at all.

Muslims don't celebrate christmas
edit: to the person above me, christmas is not a pagan holiday, the clue is in the name! CHRISTmas, it does however take most of its traditions and its timing from a much older pagan festival of the winter solstice/yule

Muslims and christians cant not celebrate christmas..together, because the date of Jesus(Isa in islam) birth is not the real one it was a date borrowed from the pagan times by the romans. And in addition Christians claim that Mary bore jesus from GOD/ALLAH there fore son of God.. which is totaly against the teachings of Islam....

Muslims will not celebrate Christmas because they don't believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Saviour of the world.

Who said they don't? In many countries they celebrate it together. But the question is: Would Christians celebrate Islamic occasions with Muslaims?

This might begin by having a mutual respect for each other's pathway. I have been invited to several festivals and meetings of different faiths and beliefs. I attended with respect, good manners and a sense of priviledge. It is only the extremists that look for trouble. 'Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.'

There would be no reason for Muslims to celebrate the birth of someone they do no consider to be "their Lord" the way Christians do.

It would be as pointless as asking the Jewish community to join in.

Religious tolerance means we must respect other beliefs without trying to find a back-door way to indoctrinate people in our own faith.
