What do you perceive to be the Theological and spiritual implications on believing or rejecting the doctrines of "The fall of mankind" ?

Did Jesus ever say that He saw mankind falling ? He did say that he saw Lucifer and Satan fall, each lose their former very junior Son of God status and were and are confined to a spiritual prison world on high.

Thanks for answering !

Peace and progress without end !

No. Otherwise, we would all be saying, "Help, I've fallen and I can't get up!" There is no "original sin". We are not born into sin. Adam and Eve defaulted in the first garden and they paid the price for their sins. They lost their immortality. We are not destined for a fall. The only way from here (earth) is up.

The events of the garden of Eden are when mankind experienced, "The Fall". That is someones expression to describe mankinds choice to be independent of God and do the one thing God had forbidden.

When Jesus said He had seen Lucifer fall He was speaking of Satan. Satan has several names/descriptives in the Bible: Prince of the power of the air, Author of confusion, Father of Lies, Thief, A roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.

Both of these "Falls" are metaphorical in nature. Man's Fall and Satan's fall are indicative of a change in status. Both happened as a result of rebellion against God, expressed in disobedience and a desire to have one's way irrespective of God's wishes.

By the way, no where in the Bible does it say that Satan/Lucifer is confined to any sort of spiritual prison! Unfortunately He is roaming around, reeking havoc where he can. Also satan was NEVER any kind of God. He was/is an angelic being, an evil angelic being.

You might want to read the Bible and catch up on some of these issues. They are there. Specific verses can be found through any decent concordance. Look on line for one.

Yes there was...........this is what ushered sin into humanity.

It is the absolute truth of the Scriptures.........

This is the reason why Christ came....to save us from sin.
Everyone suffers from the sin curse........but all those who accept Christ are free from the curse of sin & eternal damnation.
