A lack of sleep can be really dangerous, although i too have stayed up the whole night only to be on a bigger buzz the next day, in my experience you'll make it up in the weekend or start getting in an almost drunk like state where u babble sleep deprived babble, which, while mildly amusing, indicates you should go to bed!

As opposed to going to a doctor and getting put on some hokey meds, I go upstairs an hour before bed to read or watch TV so I don't stay wound up. Take a multivitamin and 1-2 plain label benadryl, and you will go down for the count. Don't drink caffeine past 2-4PM. Your first meal should be a good balance of protein and carbs.
Hey, and if you're not tired, no big deal.

Its not normal. You can hardly sleep but you don't feel tired. This is what it can be like for people who have bipolar disorder, a serious but treatable condition that both kids and adults can get. Sometimes known as manic depression, bipolar disorder is pretty rare, but more common than doctors once thought. Until it is treated, people who have it can't control their moods as they swing from peak to bleak

My mother seemed to have the same condition...
She just often just sat in a living room chair and rested, rather than try to sleep. She was always full of energy and got a very early start on her chores.
She lived to be 81....

Wow. You are lucky that you don't feel tired, but it doesn't sound normal. Your nervous system may be out of whack. Or do you suffer from bipolar disorder?
