Cut the tofu into 1/2-inch thick slices; then cut again into 1/2-inch wide sticks. Soak the sticks in vegetable broth for several minutes. Warm a few tablespoons of vegetable oil in a skillet. Then remove the tofu from broth, and squeeze most (but not all) of the liquid from them. Then roll the tofu sticks in seasoned flour and fry them in the oil until crisp and browned on all sides. Add more oil if necessary.

I just saw frozen vegetarian egg substitute at the grocery store in the same freezer section as the Boca Burgers. If you've ever seen "Egg Beaters" (made with real eggs) in those little cartons - well, it looks just like those. I think they're made by Morningstar Farms. You'd probably just need to thaw it out to room temperature and then dip and fry away. Hope I helped!

I usually use firm tofu when I'm frying, but you can dip it in soy milk and then in the flour.

Tofu is a great substitue. this all depends on what you are trying to accomplish.. There is this product if looking for baking things called Ener-G that you can use. Look through this site I have attached for ideas on items you can use as alternatives.
Good luck with this!

Dip it in milk or soy milk first and then the flour should stick.
