43cm is the whole width or height. Is it a circumference, a volume in cubic cm or something else?

43cm is like 17 inches. That can't be right. It's probably 4.3cm or 43mm in diameter.

Cannot be 43 cm a lung is not that long! Perhaps a 4.3cm lesion? Remember a ruler is 30cm. A normal lung measures from about just underneath your clavicle to a couple of centimetres above where your ribcase ends.

it could mean anything
It may mean that the one lung may have to be removed or there is nothing that can be done at all...

I suggest if you have had xray taken consult the doctor for advice..

some sort of a growth. either cancer, scar tissue ect. 43 cm should be the circumference of the lesion.
oh and i have to agree with lise k below. 43 mm maybe?
