We all know who is the greatest number of illegals, however, I equally despise anyone who sneaks into our nation. Anti's are not racist, they just have one thing that pro's don't, a brain!

Could it be because when comments are made it usually involves the words Mexican, Illegal Mexican, Hispanic or some other form of derogatory description? Or that the traits used in the description are openly stereotypical.
I can agree to the fact that not all posters are guilty of doing this and maintain a leveled neutral opinion, i.e. no insults or make a direct connection to any nationality.
I noticed that posters and answerer's on both sides of this issue will give out thumbs down to almost any response that is not for or leans away from the posters ideas. What a poor way for both sides to show an open mindedness.
Do I believe that illegals are one race, no sir I don't but I have read these posts over and over finding statements to make one think that it is suppose to be.
I myself have been guilty of "jumping the gun" and more recently being unfairly judgmental against a poster. When I catch myself or it is pointed out I stand publicly and correct myself.
How are posters racist for not supporting illegal immigration?
When they use some of the above tactics. Does that make all posters against illegal immigration racists? No, it doesn't it just gives credence to the fact you have your ideas and I mine. Somewhere is a middle ground that when we both sit, we should be able to speak freely with worry that the other has hidden stones to throw.
If you look at the first link, you will find the "Melting Pot" quote towards the bottom make sure you also read the quote from Lincoln and Eisenhower.
Then notice that almost all the web sites efforts are directed towards the illegal Mexicans and Hispanics. You'll find the same true for the second link. With surprising expectation the next two links will show the same in reverse.
So I will close with the last link being a definition of a word , read it then apply it to where ever it fits best to you.

Yes they are the illegal race We teach them words like "Clinton' which means money store. Wow that's a hard one dr. evil and that's all I can come up with. I assume you will have no real takers. Hope Mini me returned. By the way why is he island hopping?
Add on: I know. My friend from France asked for "French fries" and the guy said, "We don't serve not stinkin French fries, only American fries". Then once someone asked her if she wanted a ride and she said "WE, we" and the person said "Not in my car" and speed off. Since the "racist" word is the mating call of the liberal democrat I would ask "What is a liberal democrat'. Take care.

I wonder if they think that Teddy Roosevelt was a racist too? Even when he too welcomed all LEGAL immigrants who assimilated into this country, and not just learned the English language... But used it thereafter on a daily bases.
A reminder to those Pros who seem to have short term memory loss.
The True meaning of "Melting Pot" per speech from Theodore Roosevelt.
"From the melting pot of life in this free land all men and woman of all nations who come hither emerge as Americans and nothing else. They must have renounced completely and without reserve all allegiance to the land from which they or their forefathers came. And it is a binding duty on every citizen of this country in every important crisis to act solidly with all his fellow Americans, having regard only to the honor and interest of America, treating every other nation purely on its conduct in that crisis, without reference to his ancestral predilections or antipathies. If he does not act, he is false to the teachings and lives of Washington and Lincoln; he is not entitled to any part or lot in our country and he should be sent out of it." (Theodore Roosevelt, "The Children of the Crucible" New York, Sept. 9, 1917)

Illegal immigrants are not all of one race. However, anti-immigrant folks seem to think they are. To a certain extent, they are right.

1. you are ONLY called racists when you BASE your immigration stance on race
2. If you DO NOT then you have no concern....
3. But the fact that you keep bringing up the race card...when no one has accused YOU of being racist....is makeing your motives suspect...
an even if we did say (and NOONE has) you were racist for your immigration stance....that is called a fallacy not a contradiction.....
a contradiction would be I went to the store when I stayed home
