ok so last year my roomie and i went downtown to the village and basically the first place we walked in didnt card or care and gave us our peircings. we were 16. anyways, now we're 17 and we want tattoos but for some reason all the places that wouldnt card us before card us the second we walk in the door. we tried st marks place and all that bs. does anyone know of a place we could go? both of us LOOK older than 17 . we just dont have ids.

location: manhattan or northern brooklyn would be preferable.

we tried the bronx. turning 18 in the summer buy my roommate is from paris and shes moving back there before we turn 18, getting tattoos together

It's pretty much standard practice EVERYWHERE to check ID...

Keep looking around, any MAYBE you'll luck out ;););)

Oh sure. There are some places you won't get carded.
But you end up with either a pretty crappy looking tattoo; getting ripped off; or getting some funky disease like Hep. because of it.

Why can't you just wait a year?

pretty much everywhere in manhattan they r goin 2 check ids my best advice is look in the bronx by 205th street near bedford pk or fordham u can usually get away with things over there

Anywhere that they don't care about the law, health and safety, hygiene, etc etc... Keep looking - there's bound to be some like this.

if you can get it w/o being carded, they probably aren't doing other things they should be---- like sterilization
