I really only have some Frankincense incense, black candles, and white candles.

Any spells I can do? I have a minor burn, but I'd like to try a spell. No Christians please...

*Sigh* I just wanted to use this as an oppurtunity to get in touch with the Goddess.

Thank you. I did use some aloe vera sap (straight from the plant, not from the gel. I have some growing in my backyard). Prariecrow, thank you so much! That was very helpful. I don't need any creams though -- It's VERY minor.

Thanks to all who helped!

Honey, close your door. Light some incense. If you have a little bell, ring it three times. Light one black candle and one white one. sit down in front of them and talk to the Goddess. Then be still and listen. Write down the thoughts that come to you in your book of shadows.

When you are done, say thanks to the Goddess, thank the fire spirits for their service, tap the candles out (don't blow them out - the salamanders don't like it) thank the air, earth and water spirits for attending and end with "in perfect love, with perfect trust, according to free will and for the good of all, so mote it be."

Your burn will heal on its own - you don't have to do ritual for that. It's like using a cannon to kill a mosquito. But, you can talk to the Goddess and feel her presence any time you want. You don't need an excuse. She's yours, She's you.

For the burn, use sap from the Aloe Vera plant. You need no excuse to get in touch with the Goddess.

For a minor burn I would suggest lavender essential oil and fresh aloe -- both work wonders for burns.

You don't have to do spells to connect to your Goddess and your God. For that I recommend simple daily devotion. It's all about building that relationship. Deepen and strengthen your relationship with your gods, and when you do need something, or some help with a spell, they will be there for you. Offer them prayers of thanks, prayers of simple loving adoration. Don't just call on them when you need something, call on them always.

bright blessings to you

You could try this one.

*****************************

Light a white candle in honor of the Goddess Isis and a white candle in honor of the God Apollo; welcome Them to your home and burn the incense as an offering to Them. Then charge a white candle for healing, saying:

Isis, I approach You as a child approaches her Mother;
Isis, I appeal to you, I raise up my hands to you!
You whose name has been spoken and remembered for five times a thousand years,
Mistress of the healing arts, ease the burden that troubles me.
Gracious Lady, relieve the pain of my injury and let it be healed quickly.
As this candle burns, may my prayer to You be heard and honored.

Apollo, I approach You as a child approaches her Father;
Apollo, I appeal to you, I raise up my hands to you!
You whose name has been spoken and remembered for thrice times a thousand years,
Master of the healing arts, ease the burden that troubles me.
Gracious Lord, relieve the pain of my injury and let it be healed quickly.
As this candle burns, may my prayer to You be heard and honored.

*****************************

I also advise you to charge a tube of ointment appropriate for treating burns and to use that regularly on the injury.

How about instead of that, you think about what materials you are using. Biologically, are they going to "heal" you? And if you are ignorant to scientific approach to this, what reason do you use anyway to believe this will help you at all?

There is no difference between magic, good or evil. In the Law given to Moses, God made his position very clear. He said: "You must not practice magic." (Leviticus 19:26)

Further reading - Deuteronomy 18:10:

10There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.

Passage Deuteronomy 18:11:
11Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
