*Sigh* It's the protein myth again...

You eat. Food. Protein is abundant in a balanced diet. The average American meat eater gets 4x the protein needed, to the detriment of their health. Most vegetarians also easily exceed the amount needed.

For the record: soybeans and soy products (tofu, tempeh, tvp, edamame, faux meats,) beans and other legumes (lentils, peas, peanuts, chickpeas,) whole grains (quinoa is a nutritional powerhouse - lots of iron and calcium in addition to complete protein,) nuts and seeds, fruits and vegetables, even mushrooms. If one elects to keep dairy products and eggs in their diet, protein is that much more of a no-brainer, but even vegans who eat a balanced diet get all they need.

I'm a vegetarian.
I eat a lot of nuts, for snacks and such, and also peanut butter.
Try tofu, you might not like it at first but marianate it with basically any sauce, it takes on the taste of whatever sauce you put on it.
I also eat a lot a lot a lottt of Boca Burgers.
Basically veggie burgers, with soy and such. Get them at grocery stores, they have fake chicken and burgers and lasagna with veggie-'meat'.
good luck =)

Sorry about the smart alecky comeback, but meat is not the only source of protein. Plenty of plant based foods are high in protein.
