Peanuts are a better, healthier source of protein. Lots of PB has vegetable oil (sometimes hydrogenated) and sugar added, which just adds calories.
But yes, PB is a source of protein, but I prefer snacking on peanuts.

Yep. Nuts are an excellent source of protein, but they also are fatty, so do be careful. And buy the stuff without all the hydrogenated crap in it.

Yes, but try to go with a natural peanut butter and not some sugary mess. The more peanuts in the peanut butter, the more protein.

Yes, but consider it is also fairly fatty, and go with moderation. Tofu and related products have a lot of protein, and less/no fat, so you can eat more at one time.

Other butters have protein, too -- like almond and cashew, in case you want to mix it up once in awhile.

nuts in general are good sources of protein.
I'm a vegetarian and I snack on nuts all the time to get some extra protein =)
